While working as a cleaner at posh condos in the Swiss Alps, Portuguese immigrant Cláudia must simultaneously deal with a despotic boss, a daughter who snubs her, and the harsh mountain wind. Director Daniel Soares’s short film What Remains won Special Mention at last year’s ZFF. Please Make It Work premiered in Locarno, followed by a screening at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Daniel Soares
Portuguese screenwriter, director and photographer. His short film O Que Resta was screened at Telluride and Clermont-Ferrand, and won the Portuguese Best Short award at IndieLisboa. He is also the author of the short documentary Forgotten, which screened at festivals across the USA. His photographs were exhibited at the International Center of Photography in New York.
