Renée Hansen Mlodyszewski

Renée Hansen Mlodyszewski (1986) graduated in production from the Norwegian Film School, and also completed undergraduate studies in administration and management at OsloMet. She attended Nordic Film Lab, Young Nordic Producers Club, UP 2.0 and EAVE training programs. She worked as associate producer on The Worst Person in the World (ZFF 2021), nominated for two Oscars. In 2022, she teamed up with the producers at True Content and founded its sister company in Norway. Besides being actively engaged in film production, she has taught production at the Norwegian Film School and participated in several juries.

Labina Mitevska

Labina Mitevska is a Macedonian actress and producer. She is a member of the European Film Academy and the Macedonian representative for the EAVE program. In 2001, with her sister Teona Strugar Mitevski and brother Vuk Mitevski, she co-founded the production company Sisters and Brother Mitevski, with which she produced a number of award-winning titles. In 2014, she participated in the Producers on the Move program of the European Film Promotion (EFP) network. Since 2021, she has been working for the Belgian production company Entre chien et Loup, focused on big European co-productions. To date, they have produced a considerable number of short and feature-length, documentary and animated films that have been shown and awarded at international festivals around the world.

Sebastian Meise

Sebastian Meise is an Austrian director and screenwriter. He is the co-founder of Austrian production company FreibeuterFilm. His first feature, Still Life (2011) premiered at San Sebastián IFF. His documentary Outing (2012) screened at Hot Docs, while his latest title, Great Freedom was awarded Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at Cannes and then the Golden Pram for Best Feature at the Zagreb Film Festival.

Daniel Hadenius-Ebner

Daniel Hadenius-Ebne (1981) is the co-founder and director of the VIS Vienna Shorts, an Academy Awards- and European Film Awards-qualifying short film festival. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and also studied Cultural and Film Studies in Vienna and Berlin. He was a long-time editor of the cultural section and film critic for the Austrian News Agency (APA). He is the co-producer of the short football film Eleven Minutes (2008) and co-founder of the Association of Austrian Film Festivals and the Fair Festival Work Now initiative. He works as a film and art curator as well as for ESFN’s new streaming platform, This Is Short.

Matjaž Ivanišin

Matjaž Ivanišin was born in Maribor in 1981. He graduated in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana (AGRFT) and has been working as a freelance filmmaker ever since. His films Karpotrotter (ZFF 2014 – Best Documentary), Playing Men (2017), Oroslan (2019) and That’s How the Summer Ended (ZFF 2022 – Golden Pram for Best International Short) were screened at film festivals such as Locarno, Rotterdam, Tribeca, FIDMarseille and IndieLisboa, and featured in the film programs of contemporary art museums such as Centre Pompidou, MoMA and ICA London.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM AND CHECKERS

Josip Lukić

Josip Lukić (Split, 1984) graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Split, and then from ADU in Zagreb. His films have been awarded at numerous domestic and international festivals. For the documentary Momsy (2018) he received the Dean’s Award and a special Rector’s Award, and for Summer Fruits (ZFF 2019 – Special Mention) he was awarded the Oktavijan Award for Best Fiction Short. He occasionally appear in acting roles in films by domestic directors (Mary, Ultra, The Staffroom, The Voice, Videobox, etc.). His graduate film It’s Not Cold for Mosquitoes, which he co-directed with Klara Šovagović, was awarded the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Student Film and the Golden Pram in last year’s Checkers program at Zagreb Film Festival.

Stanko Herceg

Stanko Herceg (Zagreb, 1964) graduated in Film and TV Cinematography from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He was the director of photography on several feature, short, documentary and experimental films and cinematographer for many domestic and foreign companies. He regularly participates in domestic and international film festivals and exhibits at group and solo exhibitions. Since 1992, he has been teaching the course Photography and Film at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. From 1993 to 1995, he was a war reporter for WTN, ARD, APTV, etc. He is a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HDLU) and Croatian Cinematographers Society.

Višnja Skorin

Film editor, screenwriter and director. She graduated in Editing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. For many years, she worked as an independent screenwriter and director for the Croatian Radiotelevision, going on to found the production studio 3D2D Animatori with her husband. She directed several documentary films and children’s TV series. Her documentary If Only Dreams Came True (2019) won the Jury Award and the Audience Award for Best Mid-length Documentary at the Mediterranean Film Festival Split. She taught at the Faculty of Political Science, and now teaches courses Editing & Editing Procedures and Film Editing at VERN University.

Josip Žuvan

Josip Žuvan was born in 1987. He holds a Master’s degree in Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, specialising in feature film. During his studies, he made short fiction, experimental and animated films that screened at domestic and foreign festivals. He is a member of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild. He works as a director, screenwriter and creative producer on many commercial television projects that have achieved exceptional viewership and popularity on the domestic and regional TV markets. His feature debut, Carbide (ZFF 2022), premiered in competition at the prestigious San Sebastián IFF.
