Saturday at ZFF begins at 11 h in Tu\u0161kanac Cinema with the KinoKino Festival<\/strong>\u2019s fun program of short animated films for preschool children First Time at the Cinema <\/strong><\/a>(ages 3 and up) and the program of short feature films for children\u00a0Exploring Every Day<\/strong><\/a> (ages 7 and up), which starts at 13 h. KinoKino\u2019s program in Urania brings three feature films from the competition program: the Danish film Buster’s World<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (ages 7 and up) about a small magician with a big heart at 11 h, the Icelandic film Birta<\/em><\/strong><\/a> at 15 h and the Belgian space adventure SpaceBoy<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (ages 10 and up) at 18 h.<\/p>\n

The central event of the penultimate festival day is the grand festival finale at SC Cinema at 20 h with the awards ceremony of the 19th ZFF and the screening of out-of-competition Not So Friendly Neighborhood Affair<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. The comedy by Academy Award winner Danis Tanovi\u0107<\/strong> was inspired by one of the most controversial gastronomical dilemmas: where are the best \u0107evapi in town? Alongside Danis Tanovi\u0107, scriptwriter Nikola Kupre\u0161anin<\/strong>, director of photography Damir \u0160agolj<\/strong>, and actors Izudin Bajrovi\u0107, Branko \u0110uri\u0107, Anja Matkovi\u0107, Kerim \u010cutuna, Almir Palata<\/strong> and Goran Navojec<\/strong> will attend the Croatian premiere.<\/p>\n

The reprise of the Italian film Macaluso Sisters <\/em><\/strong><\/a>from the Great 5 program is scheduled at 15 h at SC Cinema. This moving chronicle by Emma Dante<\/strong> about transience, memory, and things is based on the director\u2019s award-winning theatre play. The laureate of the Venice Film Festival, the film Happening<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Audrey Diwan<\/strong>, a powerful and tense adaptation of a semiautobiographical novel by French novelist Annie Ernaux which dissects her experience of abortion, reprises at 17 h in SC Cinema.<\/p>\n

Another film from the Together Again<\/strong> program, Amira<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, will be screened in Tu\u0161kanac Cinema on Saturday at 19.30. The new film by Egyptian director Mohamed Diab<\/strong> is a drama about the search for identity in an area rife with conflict. Teenager Amira (Tara Abboud) from the West Coast was conceived with the smuggled sperm of a Palestinian prisoner serving a life sentence in an Israeli prison. However, Amira\u2019s life is turned upside down when she suspects that the man she\u2019s idolizing might not be her father.<\/p>\n

Two more films from the Together Again program will have their last screenings on Saturday in Tu\u0161kanac Cinema: love drama The Worst Person in The World<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Joachim Trier at 17 h, and family drama The Restless<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Joachim Lafosse at 22 h. The film A Chiara<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Jonas Carpignano from the same program will be shown at &TD Theatre at 18 h.<\/p>\n

Program Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region <\/strong>presents the Hungarian film Natural Light<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by D\u00e9nes Nagy, who won the best director award in Berlin, which screens at &TD Theatre at 20.30 h. It is a brutal drama about the endurance and mental toil of war influenced by the visual heritage of A. Tarkovsky.<\/p>\n

Industry, ZFF\u2019s program for professionals, in cooperation with Restart, presents a masterclass<\/strong><\/a> by cinematographer Vanja \u010cernul<\/strong> whose works include The Deuce<\/em> (HBO), Marco Polo<\/em> (Netflix), The Gilded Age<\/em> (HBO) by Julian Fellows, and the global hit Crazy Rich Asians <\/em>(2018) by Jon M. Chu. Vanja \u010cernul will talk about film and TV projects which marked his career and his professional upbringing.
